Experience the Total Solar Eclipse
Join us at the Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium for a live viewing of the first total eclipse since 2017! Although Sioux Falls is not in the best location for viewing the eclipse outdoors, you can still experience this phenomenon inside our full-dome theater!
This exciting event includes:
- Showing of our newest captivating film, "Totality," at 12:15 p.m. This film explores why a total solar eclipse has such a profound influence on those who witness this rare occurrence.
- Live total eclipse streaming beginning at 12:45 p.m. with complete visibility at 1:30 p.m. Our livestream is in real time from a location that will see the eclipse at 100%, and you can view it safely indoors.
- Learn how and why an eclipse occurs during the live presentation.
- Gourmet ice cream, fresh popcorn, candy and cold beverages will be available for purchase at Parlour!
During a total eclipse, the moon passes between the sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the sun. Those located in the center of the moon's shadow when it hits Earth will experience a total eclipse. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk.
Come view this celestial event from the BEST place in South Dakota to see it! Attendees are welcome to come and go during the live streaming. Tickets available soon!
