Staff Picks: Briana's Perfect Day in Sioux Falls

We asked some of the Experience Sioux Falls team members for a few of their favorite things to do in Sioux Falls. Here's what Briana recommends:

Breakfast

A great spot for breakfast is Bagel Boy. They make their own bagels fresh every morning in-house, and offer breakfast sandwiches, bagels with cream cheese, and other pastries. My typical order is an Everything Bagel with veggie cream cheese—simple and delicious!

Morning Activity

After breakfast, I would love to spend the morning doing some antique shopping around the city. I-29 Antiques is full of treasures of all shapes and sizes! Wandering around and seeking out the things calling your name is the best part about it.

Lunch

My go-to spot at the moment is JL Beers. You just can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Personally, my favorite is the Rajun Cajun burger with pepperjack cheese, cajun lime sauce, grilled onions, and cajun seasoning paired with with a side of garlic parmesan fries. Pour me a local cider for between bites and I'm set!

Afternoon Activity

During beautiful days I like to walk around downtown and check out the local shops to see what I can find. I love shopping for a trendy outfit at Mint + Basil and looking for cute home decor at Simply Perfect. Not to mention the incredible works of art of SculptureWalk that you find scattered throughout downtown. It makes for great scenery!

Dinner

If I'm going to treat myself (it's my perfect day, right?) then I'm making a dinner reservation at Crawford's. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect! Two of my favorite dishes on the menu are the Parmesan Walleye and the Chicken Piccata. If you're looking for a unique drink experience, order the Epiphany. Trust me on this.

Evening Activity

My favorite after-dinner spot is Carpenter Bar for a drink or two. The atmosphere, bartenders, and company is the perfect way to end the night. My favorite drink on the menu is the Hummingbird, which is made with prosecco and makes for a refreshing beverage any time of year. Otherwise, you can never go wrong with one of the cocktails on the seasonal menu or any other glass of wine.
